Chandrayaan- 2 is the India's second mission to Moon. The primary objectives of Chandrayaan - 2 are to demonstrate the ability to soft land on the lunar zone and opreate robotic rover on the surface.
The lunar orbiter has succeesfully placed on the moon's orbit and it will be operational for one year. The second thing is 'Vikram lander', It has successfully crossed the earth's distance more than 3lakh Kms and lost the contact with earth at just 2.1 KMs.
No one in the world, including USA has not ever placed their satellite on the moon in the first attempt.but India is the first country has done it well.
Communication with the 'Vikram' was lost but the orbiter is still working at the Moon and collecting valuable secentific research,it was 99.9 % Successful , said by an one ISRO scientist.
This is Mission Control Centre. #VikramLander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analyzed.#ISRO— ISRO (@isro) September 6, 2019
